Verification, Acceptance, and Negotiation are all optional workflow tasks that may precede or follow decisioning, depending on your institution's setup and product configuration.
The Verifications and Collateral Checklist task, which applies to Small Business and Consumer applications, allows users to document verifications triggered on an application, such as income, employment, rent payments, etc. Your institution determines on a product-by-product basis whether this task falls pre-decision, post-decision, pre- and post-decision, or neither pre- or post-decision. See the Introduction to the Workflow topic for more information about the workflow of an application.
The Verification of Contract Terms task, used for Dealer Applications, allows the user to verify the terms of the agreement using the Carleton Compliance and Dealer Reserve tool.
For specific information about the verification process, see the page topic for the appropriate application type:
A Business or Consumer application goes to the Acceptance task for one of two reasons:
A product on the application is set up to require customer acceptance, or
The underwriter conditionally approves an application.
In either case, the Customer Acceptance task allows a user to record the customer's decision about the terms of the loan and any new conditions proposed by the underwriter.
Depending on how the product(s) on the application is configured, the product’s decision, and the outcome of the fax attempt, a Dealer application may then go to the Dealer Acceptance task.
For specific information about the Acceptance process, see the page topic for the appropriate application type:
An application goes to the Negotiation task only if the applicant requested different terms and/or conditions during the Customer Acceptance task.
For specific information about the Negotiation process, see the page topic for the appropriate application type:
Note: The Negotiation task does not apply to Bank2Dealer applications.
Applications ready for Verification, Acceptance, or Negotiation are group tasks, which you can find by using the Search functionality on the home page.
To view the application or the decision before accepting the task: Open the application or the decision in read-only mode by right-clicking anywhere in the row describing the application and choosing View Application or View Decision from the menu that pops up.
To accept the task and open the appropriate page: Click anywhere in the row describing the application.
If you close the task page before making the final decision on it, it will then appear on your home page under the appropriate tab.
