You can open the Edit Trade Lines dialog box from the Decision Application page. Select the radio button for the Bureau value of any payment field in the Debt Service Analysis for any applicant in the Principal Summary section on a business application or the Financial Summary section on a consumer or dealer application. Then click the Edit button to the right of the field.
Note: If open the Decision page in view-only mode and the decisioner has selected the Bureau value for any of the Annual Debt Service payment fields, click the View button beside one of the payment fields to open this dialog box with all fields read-only.
The Edit Trade Lines dialog box lists all the account and payment information provided in the credit bureau report for the selected applicant. Note that Monthly Payment values that were calculated using a missing payment rule are marked with an asterisk.
Use the information and controls in the Edit Trade Lines dialog box to adjust the account information:
Information in the Account Type, Ownership, Creditor Name, Date Opened, Negative Items, Available Credit, and Balance columns is taken directly from the credit bureau report and is read-only. The Negative Items column is checked for any loan that has derogatory messages reported by the credit bureau.
Use the text box in the Edited Balance column to adjust the balance amount, and the text box in the Edited Monthly Payment column to adjust the monthly payment amount. When you make a change, the Total field at the bottom of the form updates to reflect the new sum.
Enter a reason for your changes in the Explanation column.
Check the box in the Exclude column to exclude a payment from the total calculation. The Total field at the bottom of the form updates to reflect the new sum.
Note: Accounts that are held jointly by an applicant and co-applicant are counted only once when calculating the total. The duplicate account listing for the co-applicant will automatically be marked with a check in the Exclude column.
When you have completed your updates, click the Save button. The Bureau values for the payment fields on the Decision Application page are updated with the new calculated totals. You can also print the Edit Trade Lines dialog box by selecting Print button which is located next to the Save and Close buttons. This will allow you to print out the entire Edit Trade Lines dialog box, not just the information immediately viewable on screen.
Raw trade line data provided by a credit reporting agency for each individual applicant can include joint accounts held by co-applicants, or duplicate accounts. The following guidelines are used to map the trade line data in these cases:
If a consumer or dealer application includes a Primary Applicant and a Primary Co-Applicant, or a Secondary Applicant and a Secondary Co-Applicant pair, individual trade lines owned by the Co-Applicant will be included in the trade line total. However, joint accounts held between the Applicant and Co-Applicant are marked as joint and automatically excluded from the co-applicant’s trade lines.
If a small business application includes a principal who is marked as joint with another, individual trade lines owned by that principal will be included in the trade line totals. Joint trade lines are automatically excluded.
If an application is reprocessed and a new credit report is pulled, new trade line data will be merged with old trade line data in the application. Any data that was previously changed by the user will be retained, and all other trade line information will be updated with the new report data.
